WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT US

Before sharing our experience with this therapy, I’d like to give you some context about how Sky arrived at the therapy so that you can understand the true magnitude of it.

Imagine two parallel lines. One is my partner, Tai (our puppy), and myself. We began a life project in which we always—and I emphasise always—were together. Through the good moments, of course, but also the difficult ones. Christmases where the whole family gave presents to Tai as if he were another nephew or grandchild, and all the trips across Europe that we took together. But on our last journey, Tai decided to take it alone, and the emotional impact he left in us is still present today.

The other line is Sky’s. She was born during the Covid period. As a puppy, she was like a little stuffed toy, but she grew up and developed the traits and instincts typical of her breed. This led to rejection from her first owners—Siberian Huskies are very intense—and they reduced her care to the bare minimum: feeding her every two days, keeping her locked in a yard at 40°C for two years, and making her feel unwanted.

Our paths converged on the 24th of July 2022, when a family conspiracy insisted that we should get another dog because I was becoming depressed. Through Instagram, we saw an urgent call from an animal rescue organisation. They had been informed of Sky’s situation. Her owners were leaving for the beach on a Thursday (and it was already Wednesday), and someone needed to take her in, otherwise she would be sent to a kennel where the chances of being euthanised were high. After several phone calls, we were able to arrange everything, and within 24 hours we changed Sky’s life and identity (she wasn’t originally named Sky).

From Sky’s point of view, this wasn’t an easy situation. Everything she had known completely turned upside down, and on top of that she had to cope with two people carrying deep grief from losing Tai six months earlier. It wasn’t easy for her. Her reaction to all these stimuli included days of intense nervousness, territorial protection of a certain area of the house, intolerance to further changes—sometimes reacting with slight aggression—and destructive behaviours at home.

By chance, we met Sílvia, and we asked her if she worked with animals. Initially, we just intended for her to prepare Bach Flowers for Sky. Sílvia carried out a remote energy reading and told us that Sky lived in fear that we would not return and that she would once again be left unprotected and abandoned. Through bioenergetic therapy, Sky’s behavioural change was incredibly fast and remarkable. She became visibly calmer, which made her adaptation to her new life—and to us—much easier.

Since Sílvia treated her, Sky has not had a single behavioural issue. She seems happy, and when she stays home alone, she remains calm, without showing anxiety. As a result, this extraordinary change has also brought us deep peace in all aspects.
